The aims of the group are

• To have fun in each other's company through our mutual enjoyment of the written and spoken word.

• We do this by reading aloud our monthly agreed subject pieces to each other.

• Discussing any live theatre or television plays we may have seen, or radio plays, dramas, literary programmes we have heard

• Any events attended by members such as local authors at the library

• We embrace a range of emotions felt through exposure to different pieces of writing and respect each other's contributions.

We meet on the second Tuesday afternoon of each month and are a friendly, light-hearted group giving constructive feedback and support. We set the monthly topics for the New Year by mutual agreement at the end of the previous year. It can be fiction, non-fiction or an occasional poem.
